(INCREASING DIVERSITY IN ENGINEERING ACADEMICs)
MINORITY ENGINEERING PROGRAM
The University of Akron's College of Engineering, in recognizing that the American industries will require an ever increasing number of people in the high technology areas and at the same time demanding diversity, initiated the Minority Engineering Program(MEP) in the Spring of 1990. The MEP is committed to DIVERSITY IN ENGINEERING ACADEMICs (IDEAs) by developing skills, attitudes, and motivational factors necessary to help all students succeed in their engineering careers.
