| ROB Liaison |
This person is liaison for Akron ASME with the Region V Regional
Operating Board (ROB). He/she attends ROB meetings and is our link to
Regional activities. |
| University of Akron (UA) Student Section advisor |
This person, generally a Mechanical Engineering Department faculty
member, is advisor to the UA ASME student section, and link between the
student and senior sections of Akron ASME. |
| ACESS representative |
This person is liaison for Akron ASME with the Akron Council of
Engineering & Scientific Societies (ACESS), the umbrella organization in the
Akron area comprised of any of the technical societies that choose to join
(nearly a dozen are members at this time). This representative is expected to
attend the monthly ACESS Board meetings, and report back to Akron ASME on any
activities that would involve or interest us. |
| EWeek representative |
This person is liaison for Akron ASME with the Akron area
Engineers' Week Committee, for planning and executing the annual Engineers'
Week banquet during Engineers' Week in February. This person may or may not
have a position of responsibility on the EWeek Committee. (Currently, Akron
ASME's EWeek representative is Treasurer of the EWeek Committee.) |
