The College
Welcome to the University of Akron and The College
of Engineering! Located in Northeast Ohio, Akron is home to several
small and large
industries, as well as nearby government laboratories.
The University
of Akron is surrounded by excellent cultural diversity and post-academic
opportunities for our future engineers. The College
of Engineering is centered in the Auburn Science and Engineering
Center.
Home to one of the oldest traditional alternating Co-op programs
in the country, Engineering at the University of Akron offers students
the opportunity to include valuable work experience with respectable
academics. The Co-op program successfully maintains and establishes
relationships in private industry and with government agencies all
over Ohio and around the United States.
The college’s faculty
is an assembled group of nationally and internationally known professors,
researchers, and staff members.
With large numbers of faculty working around the clock, the caring,
individual attention enhances the quality of education. Teaching
and advising are taken seriously to provide each student with the
ability to achieve success.
